More and more unit components are integrated, and the scale of integration is also larger, so that the microfluidic chip has a strong integration. At the same time, it can process a large number of samples in parallel, with the characteristics of high throughput, fast analysis speed, low consumption, less material consumption and less pollution. The amount of reagents required for analysis of samples is only a few microliters to dozens of microliters, and the volume of the analyzed substances is even upgraded in nano or pico.

Valuable, safe, and therefore, microfluidics analysis systems are being miniaturized. The advantages of integration and portability provide a very broad prospect for its application in biomedical research, drug synthesis screening, environmental monitoring and protection, health quarantine, judicial identification, biological reagent detection and many other fields.
Microfluidic chips use semiconductor-like micro-electro-mechanical processing technology to build a micro-flow path system on the chip, the experimental and analytical process is reproduced on the chip structure consisting of the path and liquid phase chambers that are connected with each other, and after loading biological samples and reaction fluids, micro-mechanical pumps are used. Electrohydraulic pump and electroosmotic flow drive the flow of the buffer in the chip to form a micro-flow path, and carry out one or more reactions on the chip. A variety of detection systems such as laser-induced fluorescence, electrochemical and chemical, as well as many detection methods combined with analytical methods such as mass spectrometry, have been used in microfluidic chips for rapid, accurate and high-throughput analysis of samples. The most important feature of microfluidic chip is that a multi-functional integrated system and a large number of complex systems can be formed on a chip. Microreactor is a commonly used structure for biochemical reactions in chip laboratories, such as capillary electrophoresis, polymerase chain reaction, enzyme reaction and DNA hybridization reaction. Among them, voltage-driven capillary electrophoresis (Capillary Electrophoresis,CE) is relatively easy to implement on a microfluidic chip, thus becoming one of the fastest growing technologies. It is in the chip etching capillary channel, under the action of electroosmotic flow sample liquid in the channel, complete the detection and analysis of the sample, if the capillary array is built on the chip, can be completed in a few minutes on hundreds of samples of parallel analysis.
